Owen had a case of reflux last night that went through his nose. We have to wait another seven days. They are going to thicken his feeds a little more....so no bfing at this time.

Hello, I also had a 27 1/2 week little boy, but he's going to be 13 in January and it is obvious he's going to be the tallest in our family of 8! He was at UCSF and I was 2 1/2 hours away. I took breast milk every couple of days and they let me talk to him on the phone morning and evening. He was 980 gms at birth (2 pounds) and came home 10 weeks later at 3 pounds, 10 ounces. He did have a hard time keeping his temp up, but we managed. I found that he could stay warm but his temp would drop when I put him in his bassinette, so we kept a heating pad there just to warm it before he went down and that worked for us. Tyler would get overwhelmed with eye contact and noise and would briefly stop breathing but that only lasted a few months after he was home. Mostly he did just fine. I hope you get to have your sweetheart home soon! Blessings, Karen

I hope he continues to grow and do good. He will be home before you know it.
Hugs!
