Two steps forward, one step back

I got a call last night from the hospital, Owen was moved from Continuing Care back to the NICU.

Owen has bad reflux. Apparently, yesterday evening he refluxed up into his mouth and nose...he stopped breathing and his heart rate dropped. They had to use an oxygen mask to get his heart rate back up.

They stopped his feedings, he was put on an IV and they did blood tests and a chest x-ray...everything came back good. They are worried about him apparating (sp?). All the tests come back clear, not fluid in the lungs.

They are going to start feeding him again today slowly.

I was so upset yesterday, I had just scheduled Shaun and I for some classes that we need to take before he can come home...and then this happens.

He is ok, and so we are too. He'll be able to come home when he is good and ready...it just looks like it is going to be closer to his due date than we had thought.
