We have a ticket reward system, each ticket being worth $.25. This is to reward good behavior, good deeds, and other little things we have trouble remembering (the kids) or the kids don't like to do (i.e. brushing teeth, putting on glasses, and sleeping in our own beds at night - all the way through). Well, both kids managed to sleep through the night in their own bed (Ember was redirected once in the middle of the night) so I made a big deal outta them getting a ticket for sleeping in their own bed. Ember then exclaimed, "Mommy, you get a ticket to....you can put it in my jar!"
As we were driving to see Owen (after an eventful morning of getting Jaxen to school) Ember mentioned that our tree will grow oranges. I told her it would in a couple of years. She then said, we can eat 'em, huh mom?.....but not the crust."
On a different note:
We are nesting at the hospital tomorrow night. Owen (fingers crossed) might be coming home this weekend....he has had really good weight gain the last few days!

YAY for Owen! Hope he is home soon!
You TOTALLY need and deserve a ticket jar. Let your kids reward you when you do a good job :) Yay for Owen.
